Watch Oye Oye from Azhar: Nargis Fakhri looks hot but this song has none of the original's charm

Emraan Hashmi, Nargis Fakhri and Prachi Desai’s Azhar is certainly looking interesting and Nargis Fakhri looks like a perfect fit for the role Mohammed Azharuddin’s second wife Sangeeta Bijlani. It’s no surprise that the film had to have Bijlani's most famous song Oye Oye. Here's the Nargis version: 

But sadly, if we are totally honest, this Oye Oye version is a downer. The original was one of the defining songs of the 90s with Sangeeta Bijlani, Madhuri Dixit and Sonam setting the stage on fire. In this version, the lip synching is totally off, plus the song has been sung rather badly. In the original, there were three distinct voices for each of the girls, while in this there’s only one voice.

This is what happens when you want to keep try to package old wine in a new bottle.
