The new trailer has everything you need. Including finely aged, silver haired Han Solo and his favourite Wookiee, Chewie!

Helmed by JJ Abrams of Star Trek and Lost, the trailer came out on Thursday coinciding with the beginning of the four-day Star Wars Celebration, taking place in Anaheim, California.

Set thirty years after Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will continue the saga with old cast members Mark Hamil, Carrie fisher and Harrison Ford reprising their roles.

The trailer showcases new storm trooper outfits, new lightsaber, new cast, new droid BB 8, and Millennium Falcon dodging enemy fire.

The Force Awakens trailer starts with a narration by Luke Skywalker (?) "The Force runs in my family. My father has it, I have it, my sister has it. You have that power, too." The montage shows mangled Darth Vader mask, ceremonial gifting of a lightsaber to a young Jedi, hooded Luke Skywalker and R2-D2.

The montage continues and we see new cast members John Boyega, Daisey Ripley and Oscar Issac, running, panting, and saving lives of each other. It also has a nefarious looking cape-y figure wielding the new kick-ass lightsaber. Another caped figure holding a new-age gun, which is rumoured to be Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie, stomping down the crumbling aisle. And hold your horses, we have Han Solo, Chewbaca at his side, announcing: "Chewie, we're home."

Indeed Han, home indeed!
