What happens when you know that your beloved is leaving you? What is it that the two of you should talk about on the parting day? Should you cry, fight or try to make the last meeting memorable?

If you can't decide for yourself, watch Adhiraj Bose's short film Interior Cafe Night. In this 12-minute film, Naseeruddin Shah and Shernaz Patel are the two long lost lovers who happen to meet again after a gap of 30 years. A flashback runs in parallel to the narrative to reveal what compelled them to get separated 30 years ago. The plot may sound familiar but what makes it different is the storytelling.

The agony of separation in the past presents a stark contrast to the serene and calm reunion of the two lovers in the present. How do they react on bumping into each other in a quaint little cafe (which is owned by Shah) one night? Do they grab the second chance that life offered them or do they resign themselves to their fates once again?
