The second attempt at making a biopic on Apple co-founder Steve Jobs looks more promising than the Ashton Kutcher starrer Jobs.

Oscar winning screenplay writer Aaron Sorkin and Slumdog Millionaire fame Danny Boyle have teamed up for this movie based on the authorised biography of Steve Jobs written by Walter Issacson.

Trailer for Steve Jobs features the silhouette of Michael Fassbender as a gamut of events play in the background. It leads to what we have now come to associate Apple product launches with— Jobs on stage amidst flashing cameras in his signature black turtleneck and blue jeans.

The screen starts to shrink to the shape of the famous 'i' and in the end we see blinking cursor spell the title of the film.

Michael Fassbender of X-Men fame plays Steve Jobs and Seth Rogen plays Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Inc. Kate Winslet plays Joanna Hoffman a member of the original Mac team, whereas Jeff Daniels of The Newsroom plays John Sculley, CEO of Apple from 1983 to 1993.

Steve Jobs is set to release on October 9.
