Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur pump up the fun quotient in 'Kaara Fankaara' song...
The makers of Ok Jaanu have unveiled 'Kaara Fankaara' song just before the release of the film and it has got us completely hooked to its tunes.
Kaara Fankaara begins with a montage of shots from the film and the beginning vocals are powerful and catchy enough to draw you into the song. The initial few shots are enough to give us a hang of how Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur) and Tara (Shradha Kapoor) become acquaintances and how their mutual attraction turns into love.
The visuals then take us on a crazy roller coaster ride of emotions as together they spend their days and nights being crazy, stupid and in love at the same time. From playing video games together to romancing in the local trains and busses of Mumbai, the track effectively captures their journey as a young urban couple.
The song also offers glimpses into the video game that Adi apparently tries to develop in the movie (going by the original Tamil film). From small joys derived in sneaking out of lectures to the pangs of impending separation, we get a sneak peek of all kinds of emotions that one goes through in a relationship.
Coming to the audio track, AR Rahman recreates Kaara Fankaara from his own original Tamil composition Kaara Attakkara and reinvents it in the process. The rap portions by Kaly, Hard Kaur and Aaryan Dinesh K (ADK) pump up the fun quotient of the song and are definitely going to be a hit among the gen y.
The vocals by Shashaa Tirupati, Ashima Mahajan and Paroma Dasgupta work pretty well for the track. Navneet Virk, Kaly, Hard Kaur & ADK come together to pen down the lyrics, which become slightly incoherent at few places but the commendable vocals kind of make up for it.
