After much teasing, the official trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has landed amidst the hubbub of the Olympic Games. Needless to say that the trailer does the job of evoking your emotions and gives you Darth Vader, breathing and all!

Not much time is left for the movie set to land in theatres on December 16, 2016. Directed by Gareth Edwards the movie will narrate a story written by Chris Weitz, John Knoll, and Gary Whitta. Jyn Erso, played by Felicity Jones, the Rogue One with a past of her own, is recruited by the Resistance to destroy a weapon of mass destruction being built by the Galactic Empire. (People, who root for Vader and his efforts, should take the time to appreciate the beauty of Death Star in this trailer. Pause!) She joins a band of wayward rebellions to steal the plans for the Death Star.

The trailer looks different than the one showed to the fans at the Star Wars Celebration in Europe.

This ragtag army she is leading has the following spies -

Diego Luna - Cassion Andor
Riz Ahmed - Bodhi Rook
Jiang Wen - Bazee Malbus
Donnie Yen - Chirrut Imwe
Forst Whitaker - Saw Gerrera

Mads Mikkelsen plays Jyn's father Galen Erso and is partially the reason behind her checkered past. We have an adorable new droid, K-2SO voiced by Alan Tudyk. Genevieve O'Reilly plays Mon Mothma, one of the founders of the Alliance to restore the Republic, the brains behind this operation.

Donnie Yen's Chirrut Imwe is probably Jedi Jyn needs because he uses the word 'FORCE' in the conversation (more like a warning to the stormtroopers who capture Jyn and Cassion).

These rebel-hearts will face the Galactic Empire led by Director Orson Krennic, played by Ben Mendelsohn. And then we get to hear Darth Vader for the first time! Get ready for goosebumps because the character will be voiced by James Earl Jones.

Alexandre Desplat keeps the tone of the music very close to what maestro John Williams has us all addicted to.
