The second track from Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan's upcoming flick Badrinath Ki Dulhania is out and it takes us back to the era of 90s. The song Tamma Tamma Again is a recreated version of the epic Tamma Tamma song from Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit Nene starrer Thanedaar.

A lot can go wrong when one attempts to recreate an immensely loved and popular track from the yesteryears, but Tanishk Bagchi has skillfully managed to retain the essence of the song while recreating this one. We love the fact that it hasn't been sung again by contemporary singers in an attempt to rehash it. Rather the original lyrics by Indeevar and vocals by Bappi Lahiri and Anuradha Paudwal have been retained (as a welcome change).

The rap by Badshah has been cleverly used and picturised on the lead pair in the middle of the Mannequin Challenge. The additional vocals dubbed by Ameen Sayani, with which the song begins, have been splashed in at various moments throughout the song. Another commendable aspect is that the original composition of the song by Bappi da doesn't lose it's charm even as minor dubstep beats have been incorporated in it, giving it a slightly contemporary feel.

From nailing Sanjay Dutt's walking style to the superb expressions, Varun and Alia brilliantly match their steps while paying a befitting tribute to Dutt and Dixit. While some fans of the original may be a little disappointed if they're expecting to find something similar to the sequence with the chairs, but we're not complaining. It's not necessary to incorporate all the aspects of the original choreography in the recreated version. However, you never know, there may be something on those lines in the main version of the song in the film.

Overall, Tamma Tamma Again wins brownie points for its execution and presentation.
