Was Ranbir Kapoor the first choice for Shah Rukh Khan's role in Jab Harry Met Sejal?

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to bring in a new trend with Jab Harry Met Sejal, something that might even change the grammar of film promotions.  Unlike other films, Red Chillies Entertainment won't be launching a proper theatrical trailer for JHMS. SRK and Imtiaz Ali called a few people from the media and showed them two promos and a song from their film. 

The event had just a select group of journalists from different mediums and Shah Rukh was present in person to show everyone the promo. In the meanwhile, they engaged in some funny banter as well.

It was Imtiaz's birthday and Shah Rukh and team got a birthday cake for the birthday boy.. The otherwise shy filmmaker wanted to cut the cake quickly but Shah Rukh cracked some witty jokes as well. "Ranbir free nahi tha, isliye mujhe cast kar kiya Imtiaz ne," he laughed.
