For every person who have seen Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai, it's been a special TV series. Something that had changed the way Indians perceived the small screen forever. Intelligently funny and backed with some terrific writing and performers, Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai stands as one of the landmark shows on TV.

But the show had aired its last episode in 2006. Ever since then, people kept waiting but there has never been an announcement about the second season. The show ends with an insight into the characters- the Sarabhais' life seven years later.

It's already been 10 years but there's no sign of a comeback. One that's duly awaited. Talking to Deven Bhojani, the director of the show and also someone who played Dushyant in the series, we popped the inevitable question.

He smiles, "I am glad that the show is still talked about." So what about season 2? "We would love to bring them back. I think we are all comfortable coming back together as well." So where's the problem? "The channel has the rights to the show. So we can only be back on TV with the show once the channel wants us to be back. Talk to the channel," he tells us.

Sarabhai was lead by a powerful starcast of Ratna Pathak Shah, Satish Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly and Rajesh Kumar. Now that we know the cast is ready to take it off from where they left off, we are sure Star Network will be reading this and they will make an effort to bring back the show which is still remembered for its mad characters and whose re-runs are watched on their Hotstar app by many viewers.

While Star takes notice of this, you will be happy to know that Deven Bhojani is now all set to direct his debut film. Which one? Commando 2 featuring Vidyut Jamwal.
