I am definitely going to vote this year so I support the #dnaVoteGuru initiative.
It is not only important to caste your own vote but it is equally important to ensure that our friends and family do not miss out on this opportunity. Sometimes I feel we don't have enough inspiring candidates but then again everyone should be given a fair chance. I will also request every Mumbaikar to go out and vote. I too will ask my friends and family to vote. It is the time for change whether it's good or bad, who knows? But we have hope for a change. If we don't go out and vote how will we select our candidates and have the right people in the right positions running the country?
In my next film Revolver Rani I play a very corrupt and evil MLA Alka Gujjar from Chambal. It's a tragic tale dealt with in a quirky manner. This film was an eye-opener for me. I didn't care much about politics till then. I was shocked to know that even kids can possess illegal weapons. When you see how people in the film are running our country, you begin to feel scared of the whole system and about the people who hold power in their hands. Imagine the recent statement made by a politician about boys being, and they will be, naughty!
