He was last seen in Indra Kumar's multi-starrer comedy Great Grand Masti last year, and now Vivek Oberoi has kicked off shooting for the Tamil film, Vivegam, last week in Serbia, reports Mumbai Mirror. The action-thriller, co-written and directed by Siva, features South stars Ajith, Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan, as leads with Vivek stepping into the role of the villain. "It's more of an anti-hero character," Vivek told the tabloid, adding that he has been riding battle tanks and shooting high-voltage stunts at the Belgrade Air Force base in minus 12 degrees.

The unit's ongoing 30-day schedule was preceded by a shoot that had taken place in Slovenia in August 2016 with leading man Ajith. Vivegam is made at a big budget of Rs 120 crore with action sequences being choreographed by an international crew. The movie is expected to be one of the biggest projects rolling out of the Tamil film industry this year.
