Vishal Bhardwaj's ambitious project Haider too seem to have met with problems with the censor board, just like Deepika Padukone's Finding Fanny. The Shahid Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor film is a modern day adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet and has been given a 'U/A' certificate, but only after 41 cuts.

The Censor Board was in the news recently after the controversy surrounding CBFC's suspended CEO Rakesh Kumar who was accused of bribery. The Censor Board seems to have become really stringent post the incident and Haider is the latest film to have met sharp scissors.

The film was finally passed with 41 cuts, which excluded the use of a few expletives, visuals of a burning body, corpses piled into a truck, Shahid's character walking among corpses, and a few torture scenes, all of which are mentioned on CBFC's official website.

Haider, which also stars Tabu and Kay Kay Menon, is set for an October 2 release.
