The pooja of Yaman starring Vijay Antony was conducted in the premises of Lyca productions on Tuesday. Following the hit film Naan, music director turned actor Vijay Antony and director Jeeva Shankar join hands to make this film.

Lyca productions, having carved themselves a space in the film industry with their choice of projects, are producing this film. After producing Vijay's Kaththi and releasing director Vetrimaaran's Visaranai, Lyca is currently producing director Shankar's '2.0' starring Rajinikanth.

Raju Mahalingam, the creative head of Lyca productions, was lavish in his praise for this combination and genre when speaking of Yaman.

“We had been monitoring the growth of Vijay Antony very clearly and his career graph stands testimony to this factor. When the proposal of producing this film came to me, I had no hesitance at all as we were very sure that this combination is bound to work out. To be honest, I was stunned by the title Yaman, but after the narration of the script I understood the value of the title. Yaman is a devotee of Siva and it is more than just a coincidence that I got this proposal on a visit to a Siva temple. The shooting of Yaman will commence in Chennai from this month on a non-breaking schedule, and we are confident of a sure winner in Yaman”,  summed up Raju Mahalingam.
