The film may see actresses Trisha and Nayanthara cast opposite Vijay Sethupathi.
Vijay Sethupathi and director Vignesh ShivN (Vignesh Shivan) delivered a box office hit with Naanum Rowdy Thaan in 2015 and are now back together for a new film. The director confirmed that the duo is coming together for another comedy Kaathuvaakkula Rendu Kaadhal.
Speaking exclusively to dna, Vignesh said, "It's a romantic comedy. The title of the film is Kaathuvaakkula Rendu Kaadhal." Ask the director as to who the heroines are and he refuses to comment at this point, saying things are still under discussion.
Kaathuvaakkula Rendu Kaadhal means 'two loves on the go' and it suggests that there will be two leading ladies in the film. There are rumours that Nayanthara and Trisha will be seen in the film opposite Vijay Sethupathi but this has not been confirmed yet.
Nayanthara was seen in Naanum Rowdy Thaan in 2015 and she was appreciated for her fantastic acting as the hearing-challenged girl in the movie. According to sources, Nayanthara's dates are being worked out because she is really busy. The actress has just signed Sivakarthikeyan's film and there are talks that she will be doing N Balakrishna's 100th film in Telugu.
As for Trisha, there was news about issues regarding remuneration but it was later said to be all ironed out. This actress has also had a great 2015 and is looking at some good projects this year as well.
AM Ratnam’s Sri Saai Raam Creations is producing this film. Naanum Rowdy Thaan starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara was directed by Vignesh ShivN. It was a superhit film in 2015 with the songs by music director Anirudh also becoming big hits. Wonder whether Anirudh will be scoring the music for this film too!
