Vidyut Jamwal joins the moochi Gang!

Looks like B-Town just can’t get enough of our heroes sporting a moustache. Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan to Ajay Devgn were all seen sporting it in their recent films and continue to do so in the forthcoming ones as well.

But the latest to hop onto this moochwagon is Vidyut Jamwal who has upped the ante and is seen sporting a regal moushe for a high fashion magazine shoot after having sported a neat stubble so far.

Speaking of this trend among actors, Bollywood style advisor Tanya Ghavri says, “Men with moustaches are very sexy. It helps you distinguish the boys from the men. It adds in a strong element of class and edge to the man’s character and it’s great to see young boys like Vidyut and Ranveer (Singh) experiment with their look and sport those royal ‘staches’.”

The process of casting has also seen a very interesting change where directors and producers enjoy seeing the versatility offered by actors in terms of their looks. Casting director Aadore Mukherjee says, “Filmmakers nowadays actually give us very specific definition in terms of looks and they invariably want to have their leading men sport moustaches and beards to communicate a certain edge, sex appeal and ruggedness.

A man is a man when seen with facial hair and that’s how the distinction between the men and chocolate boys are made. Of late actors like Farhan Akhtar, Ranveer... have successfully posed with a moustache and now seeing Vidyut in this avatar helps add another dimension to him and probably helps envision him with a more alpha male and sexy look like this.”
