Video: First trailer out for Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'Terminator: Genisys'

The trailer of the much-awaited action flick Terminator: Genisys has been finally released.

‘Genisys’ is the fifth instalment in the Terminator franchise and is set in an alternate timeline where the character of Connor was orphaned by a Terminator at the age nine.  Arnold Schwarzenegger, as the T-800 Terminator raises Sarah and warns her about the baleful 'Judgement Day'.

The character of Sarah Connor is played by Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones fame. Jai Courtney stars as Kyle Reese.

The film by Alan Taylor, director of Thor: the Dark World, will release on January 1, 2015.

Earlier, the filmmakers had also unveiled a 15-second teaser ahead of the main trailer launch which included a brief shot of the shape shifting, liquid metal T-1000 Terminator, and a glimpse of Schwarzenegger’s T-800 Terminator.
