Veteran actor, filmmaker Sujit Kumar passes away

Veteran actor and producer Sujit Kumar, who worked in superhit Hindi films like Aradhana, The Burning Train and Aankhen, passed away this morning. He was 75 and is survived by son Jatin Kumar and daughter Henna.

The actor who was the first superstar of Bhojpuri cinema in his heydays, was also a well-known producer with mega films like Khel  starring Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit), Champion (Sunny Deol, Manisha Koirala) and Aetbaar (Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham, Bipasha Basu) tohis credit.

A chautha ceremony (condolence meeting) will take place on Monday, family sources said.
