Varun Badola in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

With the World Cup football coming up, looks like the soccer fever has permeated to the serials also. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is all set to have a special football track where-in Naksh (Shivansh Hotia) will be shown learning the game. To play the role of his coach, producer Rajan Shahi has roped in Varun Badola. Says Rajan, "Varun will have a strong power-backed role, which will be inspirational and interesting. It's a cameo and he will there for at least nine episodes."

Currently, Naksh is shown to be suffering from diabetes, which afflicts children. "It's the first time this subject is being tackled in a serial and sports is an ideal platform to show that one should not only learn to cope with it but come out strong inspite of it. Also, sports form an integral part of children's activities," says Rajan. Varun has already started shooting for it.
