Universal Studios announces release date of 'Jurassic World 2'

Jurassic World 2 has been slated for June 2018 release, Universal Studios has announced.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will reprise their roles, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Derek Connolly, who did a rewrite on the first film, will pen the script.

 Colin Trevorrow is not expected to return to direct but will serve as an executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg.

Jurassic World has proven to be a blockbuster for Universal and is now the No 3 domestic release of all time, and the No 3 worldwide release of all time.

Till date, the record breaking film has grossed $1.5 billion worldwide.
