Shraddha Srinath made heads turn with her wonderful performance in director Pawan Kumar's recent Kannada film U-Turn. The latest news is that the young actress has signed her first Tamil film and with none other than Malayalam star Nivin Pauly.

Shraddha has been signed on for Nivin Pauly's Tamil film to be directed by Gautham Ramachandran. The director and the actress will be making their debut in Tamil. Reportedly, Shraddha auditioned for the part in February and since she didn't know Tamil, did not do too well. But she auditioned in April again after sprucing up her Tamil and snagged the role.

Interestingly, Shraddha played a journalist in U-Turn and will play a journalist in her debut Tamil flick as well. The actress has stated that the roles are quite different.
