Karan Johar has finally launched his autobiography. Titled An Unsuitable Boy, the book chronicles the life story of the celebrated filmmaker. Known for his disarming candour and candid attitude towards life, Karan's unabashed comments have only made it to headlines, prior to the release of his book.

Shah Rukh Khan has launched the book at an event amid huge fanfare on Monday. And before you grab your copy of the book, here are 5 excerpts from the book that will shock you.

Coming out? Or maybe not!
The book has an entire episode where Karan finally reveals his secual orientation. Without using those three words, he carefully makes sure everyone knows that he's gay and he's proud of it. "Everybody knows what my sexual orientation is. I don't need to scream it out. If I need to spell it out, I won't only because I live in a country where I could possibly be jailed for saying this. Which is why I Karan Johar will not say the three words that possibly everybody knows about me."

First sexual experience:
Yes, Karan has also spoken openly about his first sexcapade. And even revealed that he paid for it. The experience which he stated was 'nerve-wracking' is one of the highlights in the biography. He admitted that he lost his virginity when he was 26, in New York. Not once, but twice. The second time he had sex, he wasn't happy about it, he wrote. "It just seemed a bit stupid; it seemed fake because obviously the person assigned to please you is going to please you artificially," he mentioned in his book.

Relationship with SRK:
His friendship with Shah Rukh has made it to gossip columns for all right and wrong reasons. In his book, KJo addresses both the good and the bad side to it. "If I asked you if you are sleeping with your brother, how will you feel? For me, no matter what ups and downs Shah Rukh and I have been through, he is a father figure, an older brother to me," he said. But he did reveal that he had a major fallout with SRK only to have patched up later. "Shah Rukh is a very possessive friend. I think I may have hurt him when I made a film without him. And I think I got hurt because when I did, I felt he didn't give me that paternal or fraternal feeling that I had from him otherwise. I think we were two hurt friends for no reason," he added saying that they finally buried the hatchet at the Piku success party.

End of a 25 year old friendship:
Karan and Kajol have been inseparable ever since the two met. Kajol who seldom likes people considered Karan as one of the most important people in her close friends circle. But that's a ting of the past now. But in the book, he's confirmed that his friendship with her is officially over. "She was the one who mattered to me but now it's over. I wouldn't like to give a piece of myself to her at all because she's killed every bit of emotion I had for her for twenty-five years." He added, "I can't even say that I was hurt or pained by it. I just wanted to blank it out. When she reacted to the whole situation and put out a tweet saying, 'Shocked!' that's when I knew it was completely over for me."

Rift with Kareena Kapoor:
t happened just before Kal Ho Naa Ho. Mujhse Dosti Karoge had just released and Karan had offered his film to Bebo. That time, Kareena demanded the same fee from KJo and his dad Yash Johar, which he found was very unreasonable. Karan was extremely hurt with her demands and decided to not take her in his film. They didn't talk for the next few months and kept avoiding each other at all parties. After nine months, Bebo had heard about Yash Johar undergoing his treatment and got emotional on the phone and said, "I love you and I am so sorry I haven't been in touch. Don't worry." And they were back to being friends.
