Marvel had planned to release the trailer of the sequel of The Avengers’s with ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but someone leaked a low-quality bootleg version. Though Marvel (hilariously) blamed Hydra, it later decided to just share the high-resolution one to please the fanboys. Avengers: Age of Ultron looks like it’s going to take the Marvel Cinematic Universe down a darker, Nolansque path. Here are five best things about the trailer:

1. James Spader’s Ultron

The hallmark of any decent comic movie is a great villain who is a physical and psychological match for the heroes. While the Avengers’ previous foe Loki was a conniving god, he simply couldn’t take any of our heroes in a battle. Ultron, on the other hand is a completely different proposition.

In the comics, Ultron was created by Ant-Man but the movie version has Tony Stark doing the honours. Played by James Spader – the immorally good lawyer from Boston LegalUltron has genius-level intellect with a God complex and thinks Earth can only be preserved by destroying humans (similar to the machines in The Matrix).

While this certainly seems to be a step-up from Loki, we’ll have to wait and see if anybody can outdo Heath Ledger’s Joker as the greatest comic book villain of all time!

Tony Stark needs to work on protecting his property better since all the villains in his universe  seem to come from his suit technology!

2. Iron Man’s Hulkbuster suit

In Iron Man 3, we saw a lot of different Iron Man suits, and most fans wondered why the Hulkbuster suit didn’t make an appearance. Well, we have it now. The most bad-ass of all Iron Man suits which  acts as an exo-skeleton even allows Tony Stark to take on the Hulk in one-on-one combat. The trailer suggests we’re going to have some heavy-duty action between Stark and Banner.

3. The Siblings – Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver

The breakout character from X-Men: Days of the Future Past was inarguably Quicksilver, who breaks out his dad Magneto from the highest security prison in the world. In this Marvel Universe, we’re going to get a different, darker version of Quicksilver and he comes along with his twin sister – Scarlett Witch – one of the most powerful characters in Marvel. Scarlett Witch can harness magic, conduct hypnosis and telekinesis and actually can connect this world with parallel worlds. She also has an incestuous relationship with her twin brother so prepare for some devastatingly complex and creepy characters.

4. Mindless action

I have heard a lot of people complain about big action sequences but seriously if you don’t enjoy that, what are you doing in a superhero movie? Go watch The Judge if you don’t want to see Robert Downey Jr. fly around in an Iron Man suit. Judging from the trailer, this is going to be one hell of an action-packed movie.

5. The return of the big boys

Most of the standalone movies in the Marvel Universe are hits or misses, but it’s always interesting to see all the big boys get together and party.

While The Winter Soldier was a great movie dealing with the currently discussed issue of information disclosure and data security, it’s always fun when all the characters come together. We can’t wait to see what Messrs Stark, Thor, Banner, Fury, Barton, Rodgers and Misses Romanoff and Hill have in store for us.
