Tom Cruise and George Clooney sign on to sci-fi films

Tom Cruise, George Clooney and Ashley Greene have all signed up to star in some creepy sci-fi film projects.

Cruise takes on aliens in the war flick All You Need Is Kill, Zimbio reported.

The film centers around Cruise’s role as Lieutenant Colonel Bill Cage, a soldier who is caught in a time loop while he fights an alien race, and dies again and again, that has invaded Earth. Cruise’s character is able to learn after each death, until he’s able to defeat invaders. The movie is scheduled for a March 2014 release.

Meanwhile, Clooney is in talks to play the lead in 1952, a sci-fi flick about a man who contacts extra-terrestrial life on Earth, Variety reports.

After starring in the Twilight saga, Greene is no stranger to the supernatural.

She's been lined up for a role in Satanic, a horror movie that follows a group of college students who are attacked in their dormitory during Thanksgiving break, with the survivors on the hunt for their attackers.
