To endorse fairness creams or not? Priyanka Chopra joins the debate!

Apart from the nepotism issue, one question that has suddenly fueled into a national debate is whether celebrities should endorse fairness creams or not. Bollywood actor Abhay Deol's posts slamming every Bollywood star who has or is endorsing fairness creams. 

According to a section of the industry, fairness cream ads should be banned because they promote racism and makes people believe that becoming fair is the ultimate goal of life. While Abhay slammed Sonam Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor and others, there wasn't any mention of Priyanka Chopra. When she was in the bay for Baywatch, she spoke to Firstpost and opened up on her take on the whole 'fairness creams' issue. 

She said, "I endorsed a fairness cream many years ago, for about 12 months, and then I realised that's not like how I felt. After that I never endorsed fairness creams."
