Tollywood star Nagarjuna came together with Kollywood actor Karthi for the press meet of their film Oopiri / Thozha in Chennai. The two told media that they loved working on the film and they felt that they were like brothers. Director Vamshi Padaipally was also one of the trio. Tamannaah is the heroine in the film.

Nagarjuna looking dapper in jeans and a blue shirt told media, "I wouldn’t say Thozha is a landmark in my career, but instead a life changing film." He also spoke about having watched the French film The Intouchables and felt it was a film that should be remade here. “It’s a film that is based on true incidents and after watching it, I couldn’t stop recommending it to everyone,” he stated. He also said his entire family was against his decision of taking up Thozha. “My sons were adamant saying they can’t see me sitting in a wheelchair and I’m now nervous as they would be watching the film this evening,” said Nag.

Meanwhile, Karthi who plays his caretaker in the film, said that he had to wait nearly for a year to get a good story, before he found this one. "After watching the original version, I had a doubt whether I would do justice to it," he added. The actor said that he was confident that Vamshi could pull it off and he has. Karthi also loved the fact that Nagarjuna was jovial and stress-free and wanted to imbibe that from him.

Karthi stated that Thozha / Oopiri was an adaptation of the original French film and not a remake. The director has changed it to suit local sensibilities. The movie is up for release on March 25 in Telugu and Tamil.
