Looks like there's no end for the problems of the Central Board of Film Certification. The latest trouble that has been thrust upon the CBFC is from the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) which is reportedly controlled by Shiromani Akali Dal.
According to a report originally published in The Indian Express, the DSGMC has objected to the use of a kirpan (short dagger) in the song 'Ishq Ka Marz' from the upcoming flick Dishoom, in an "inappropriate manner." In the said song, Jacqueline Fernandez is seen wearing a kirpan-like waist belt and dancing. The movie also stars Varun Dhawan, John Abraham, Nargis Fakhri and Akshaye Khanna.

Reportedly, the General Secretary of DSGMC Manjinder Singh Sirsa, in a letter to the makers of the film and the CBFC, has threatened to initiate criminal proceedings if the song is not removed from the movie. In the letter he has stated, "The song depicts a semi-clad actress (Ms. Jacquelin Fernandes) dancing with a Kirpan with other co-stars actor Varun Dhawan & John Abraham, one of the five compulsory Kakaars worn by a practising Sikh; dangling in front of her legs and supported by a cloth belt worn around the waist by the actress.”
Sirsa watched the said video on YouTube and noted that it was "highly offensive, mala fide and deliberate insult to the well-established Sikh tenets and customs,” quoted The Indian Express. Interestingly, the full song 'Ishq Ka Marz' is supposed to come out today!
