This is WHY The Kapil Sharma Show might be scrapped soon!

Kapil Sharma is not a happy man. His friends have deserted him, he's received a lot of bad press in the last few months and now rumours are that Sony might pull the plug on his show The Kapil Sharma Show. 

And the channel has got plenty of reasons for that. After the much talked about fight between Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma became public, the former along with other members of the show Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar decided to quit the show. Although their contract ends only on April 28, the three comedians vowed never to return to the show after the humiliation they faced at the hands of Kapil.

But ever since they have vacated the show, Kapil's comedy talk show has only gone downhill. The TRPs have dipped to extremely low levels and the show which was once consistently in the top 5 is now out of even the Top 10 race. Now, according to the recent BARC ratings, Sony which easily enjoyed the 3rd spot, thanks to its flagship show's great run with the audiences, has dropped to the 5th spot. 

While Kapil Sharma's show has gone beloe the rating of 2 already, the fall in the channel's spot among the GECs will only prove more detrimental for Kapil and his comedy brigade. We hear Sony has already made up its mind and decided to not renew the contract. After all, they will save a whopping Rs 107 crore at least!
