Actor Jude Law spent nine months living in Rome last year and has admitted he misses it greatly.

The 43-year-old actor, who was born in Lewisham, London, spent time residing in the Italian capital and, although he likes the hustle and bustle of his home country, he wishes he could move back out to the sprawling cosmopolitan city because he felt like he fitted in and adored the architecture, reported Female First.

"I was happy, inspired, I enjoyed every single moment (of living in Rome). I was in an apartment close to the Campidoglio, I went running everyday around the Circus Maximus. I saw the city at 5 am, with just street cleaners," she said.

"I had coffee in bars with truck drivers. I adored the rhythm of Rome, busy but less agitated than London, cosmopolitan but less anxious than New York. It's easy to visit and every walk is a miracle. You are walking with someone and at a certain point, here it is the Trevi Fountain, oh my God, that's the Vatican. Amazing. I miss that."
