'This happens only in India' Twitter explodes as Daler Mehndi gets bail minutes after conviction

Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi was convicted on charges of human trafficking by a local court in Punjab on Friday afternoon. The case has been under judirisiction since year 2003..The complainant said that Daler and his brother Shamsher Singh had taken two troupes in 1998 and 1999 to the US and have dropped off 10 people illegaly. The two brothers allegedly dropped off three girls  to San Francisco In 1999, and “dropped off” three boys in New Jersey. The Patiala Court in Punjab asked him to serve 2 years of imprisonment but his legal counsel managed to get him bail as soon as the verdict was out.

After getting bail, Daler Mehndi told media that he will appeal in higher court.
