The most difficult role of my career

For the last few days Sakshi Tanwar has been busy shooting for her episode of Ek Thi Naayka, which will be the finale of the series and co-incide with the release of Ek Thi Daayan. The eight-part series was launched as a preview to the film and had female lead protagonists of producer Ekta Kapoor’s shows essaying the main role. Sakshi whose episode is based in Rajasthan says that she is playing the most difficult and challenging role of her career. “It’s basically about a promotional song of Ek Thi Daayan that is being shot in Rajasthan of which I am the line producer.

It is shot in an old haveli where everyday something untoward happens. How the team handles it is what the episode is all about,” says Sakshi. Unwilling to divulge more about the story, Sakshi however confesses that the role has been mentally and physically taxing for her. “Every scene sapped me out and I felt completely drained out. It used to take me some time to gather my strength,” says the actress.

A source says that in the story three spirits get alternatively entrapped in her body, one of which will be that of a nautch girl. And that means Sakshi will be seen dancing in the show.  Says Sakshi, “The dance is an integral part of the story. It’s to the beats of a Rajasthani folk song, which I am fond of anyway. I had very little time to practice but the minute the song started I automatically started swaying to it. It is so catchy.”  This, however, is not the first time that she will be seen dancing — she had shaken a leg to Ooh La La with Vidya Balan when the latter had come on her show Bade Acche Laggte Hai!
