The long-running soap Uttaran to continue till May

The long-running soap Uttaran is on its way out but the makers are still giving it new twists and turns. The latest is the entry of a new character Malvika in the form of Rishina Kandhari. Rishina, who was last seen in Khelti Hai Zindagi Aakh Micholi and who was in talks to play the role of Ganga in Balika Vadhu is all set to enter Uttaran. As per ongoing track Rathore (Gaurav Chopra) gets flashes of a woman burning in fire. The story will show flashback wherein his back story will have Malvika (Rishina Kandhari) as his first wife, an aspiring model. Says Rishina, "I am playing Gaurav Chopra's first wife from the past but there's a mystery associated with her so I can't reveal beyond this." Sources say that the serial that was to go off air in March is likely continue to till May. The serial has completed around 1200 episodes and the aim to is wrap up after completing 1500 episodes. Also, it is likely to be replaced by Ekta Kapoor's new show, which will probably be post IPL.
