'The Fault in Our Stars' wins top prizes at Teen Choice Awards

Actors of The Fault In Our Stars, Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, have won big prizes at the recent Teen Choice Awards.

The actors were honored with several prizes, including choice drama movie actor and breakout movie star for Elgort, while choice drama and action movie actress for Woodley, the Washington Post reported.

The pair was also awarded choice movie lip-lock for their Fault in Our Stars smooch.

As Woodley accepted her Choice Movie Actress title, she encouraged fans to just be themselves, saying, "The truest form of bravery and courage is to wake up every single day, and to be ourselves. You do you. I'm gonna do me."

Meanwhile, One Direction topped the music categories, landing eight surfboard prizes during the televised ceremony, including Choice Music Group, Choice Summer Tour for their ongoing Where We Are trek, Choice Love Song for You and I, and Choice Break-Up Song and Choice Single: Group for Story of My Life.

Demi Lovato, who performed at the event, won the award for choice summer song and choice female summer music star, while Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale won the award for choice drama TV show actress, The Hunger Games co-star Josh Hutcherson was awarded choice sci-fi/fantasy movie actor and Bethany Mota and Tyler Oakley won choice female and male Web stars. 

It was also a big night for singer/actress Selena Gomez, who picked up the Ultimate Choice accolade for her career achievements.

Performances at the Los Angeles prizegiving, co-hosted by Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey and Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland, came from the likes of Rixton and Jason Derulo, while presenters included Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Ian Somerhalder and Kellan Lutz
