Deepika Padukone

Just like an angel, Deepika has been sashaying and achieving greater heights sans violence or aggression in Bollywood. Though she did display some vehement anger post her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, everything has been calm ever since.

Bollywood siren Deepika, who has stunned everyone with her panache, acting skills and oomph is back with a bang, continuing her successful streak. The trailer of her latest film, Finding Fanny Fernandes shows a rather Goan-esque Deepika looking enthralling as ever, courting a rugged Arjun Kapoor. The 'five oddballs' as per director Homi Adjania's description of his cast includes Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapoor.

Though Deepika always claimed that the movie is not blockbuster material but an offbeat film which she had to do, we beg to differ. The trailer, posters and the theme are entertaining, engaging and definitely exciting. Maybe the only impediment for the movie would be its English-Konkani dialect, as the majority of B-town films are in Hindi and experimental ones hardly work barring a few.

No matter what, the crackling chemistry between Deepika and Arjun is something to watch out for as senior veterans add a whole new charm to the film while trying to find a missing Fanny!

Alia Bhatt: The Mermaid

Soothing, beautiful and persistent – Alia Bhatt makes for a perfect mermaid if we had movies around the theme!

The stunning Bhatt girl who made her debut with Karan Johar's Student Of The Year along with Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra is making news for all the right reasons. From singing 'Sooha Saaha' in the critically acclaimed Highway to 'Samjhawaan' from Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania, the girl can sing well and how!

Alia has had two releases in 2014 so far (2 States, Highway) which were hits and her next film with Varun Dhawan, Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania has all the elements of a 'masala hit' movie. Coming from Karan Johar's grooming school, there is no looking back for this girl who has been compared with Kareena Kapoor time and again!

Shraddha Kapoor: Mythical representation – Phoenix

No one expected her to rise the way she did! From being written off post Teen Patti, she made a thundering comeback with Aashiqui 2. And now with her singing skills backing her and two big hits in her kitty, the Kapoor girl has a lot more to look forward to. Though criticised for selecting similar tragic roles, the girl is getting popular among the youth. Also, her latest sultry photoshoot for a magazine has sent the temperatures soaring in monsoon. For some wishful thinking, we await her next Haider with Shahid Kapur.

Parineeti Chopra: Mythical representation – Pegasus

Before entering Bollywood, she was on the fringes having completed her education and working with Yash Raj Films while her cousin Priyanka Chopra sashayed in arc lights. But, as luck would have it, she was discovered by Aditya Chopra and debuted in Ladies versus Ricky Bahl and followed it up with Ishaqzaade which received amazing response along with national awards mention for the lass.

Her next with Aditya Kapoor is Dawaat-e-Ishq and her last with Sidharth Malhotra was a major hit!
