"American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace" has found its British home in channel BBC Two, which will air the second series of the franchise next year.

The network earlier aired first American Crime Story, "The People vs OJ Simpson" last year.

According to DigitalSpy, the show's premiere date in the US is tentatively set for early 2018 and the UK release will follow soon.

The upcoming "Versace" will be along the lines of the true crime book "Vulgar Favors", which detailed the manhunt for serial killer Andrew Cunanan after he murdered the famous designer on the steps of his own Miami mansion in 1997.

The series features Edgar Ramirez as Gianni Versace, Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace, Ricky Martin as Antonio D'Amico and Darren Criss as Andrew Cunanan.
