The state that we find Bollywood these days is abysmal. There are a few good movies and then are scores of bad movies. And then there are some that make us wonder how anyone convinced to make them.

One of them in recent memory is obviously self-styled Godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insaan, who goes by the screen name MSG and is now actually an honorary doctorate from World Record University, London. His world records include amusing things like largest vegetable mosaic, largest eye health screening campy, largest finger painting, largest human droplet and most people sanitising their hands together (I am not making any of these up).

But before there was MSG, there was Himesh Reshammiya, a good composer, a bearable singer (till his nose took over) and a truly terrible actor. But that never stopped him from making movies, and he has appeared in eight of them so far. In most of these movies, he has played himself, a character who wades through life where everyone loves him.

Despite the ill-advised The X’pose, Himesh is back with a new film titled Tera Surroor 2 in which he sports a six pack. Somehow, he seems to have conned decent actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Shekhar Kapur, Monica Dogra, Kabir Bedi and Shernaz Patel to be part of this venture.

He will also be seen romancing newbie Farah Karimi and his ‘fans’ have been trending the new poster of his film on Twitter, which shows him holding a gun to his head. If only he’d pull the trigger at the beginning of the movie and spare us the agony.
