Tennis star Sania Mirza’s sister Anam set to tie the knot

Wedding bells are set to ring in the Mirza family once again. Tennis ace Sania Mirza’s younger sister, Anam Mirza, is set to tie the knot with Akbar Rasheed, a Hyderabad-based businessman. It looks like the couple has been dating for a while, having been spotted together at events in Hyderabad several times.

Anam, who’s now a stylist, is also into sports like her elder sister. She has been spotted at the shooting ranges in Hyderabad quite often. Anam completed her Mass Communications degree at St. Francis College in Hyderabad and decided to turn stylist with her sister as muse. She has styled Sania Mirza for numerous events since.

Hyderabad media reports that Anam has confirmed that she is getting married. The D-day is said to be September 16. She has reportedly already started shopping for the wedding shopping. Designers Manish Malhotra and Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla are some people Anam is said to have her eye on for her wedding outfits. As for jewellery, Anam has already picked out some pieces from Hyderabad itself, with one of the coveted pieces being a diamond choker from designer Moni Agarwal.

Sania Mirza married Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik ​in 2010 amidst controversy. Anam keeps a low profile but considering that she’s the sister of the world’s number one women's doubles player, her wedding is likely to be a glitzy affair in Hyderabad.
