Taylor Swift has become the first female singer to beat herself to top the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The 24-year-old beauty's new track, 'Blank Space', claimed the top spot, pushing down her previous number one hit, 'Shake It Off', from the top after a four-weeks, the BBC reported.

Swift's album '1989' too has remained on top for the 3rd consecutive week at, however, One Direction's latest album, 'Four', is expected to push it down next week.
