Kangana Ranaut possibly had the best year in her career with Queen breaking all stereotypes in Bollywood last year. This year, the actress is back with an exciting sequel of sorts- Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
While the first poster of the film will be unveiled on Monday to celebrate the actress's birthday, producer of the film Krishika Lulla spoke about the film's content. "Tanu Weds Manu Returns is possibly Kangana's best work till date. Everyone loved her in Queen but to me, the most memorable character she played was in Tanu Weds Manu. In the sequel, she has given it her all and that is visible when you see her in the film. She is a dynamite in TWMR", she said. Ask her about Kangana's performance and she gives just one word to describe it. "Electrifying", Krishika said.
The producer, who recently tasted huge commercial success with Anushka Sharma's NH10 also proclaimed that it would be a fight out between the two heroines this year. "Anushka has performed exceedingly well in NH10 and Kangana is mind blowing in TMWR. Next year, it will be a tough call between Anushka and Kangana for the awards", Lulla said.
While the producer remained tight lipped about the plot, she revealed that the movie is a continuation of its prequel. "We have so many franchises and sequels these days. But Tanu Weds Manu Returns is a sequel in its truest form. It begins from where we had left off in the prequel. It is rather a continuation of the old film so it will help people connect with the film even more", she continued. "And if you have loved Tanu Weds Manu, you will definitely love Tanu Weds Manu Returns' for sure", she added.
The film, which was initially releasing on June 12 will now release on May 29 and will have a huge clash at the box office with John Abraham starrer Welcome Back.
