Vijay’s Sarkar, which released on November 7th has made the ruling dispensations see red. Tamil Nadu information minister and AIADMK MLA Kadambur Raju has taken offense and demanded some scenes be cropped.

Raju, who’s minister of information, asked the makers to remove the controversial scenes or face action. Vijay’s Sarkar is heavily political in nature and the film has taken several digs at the ruling party. The movie is seen as Vijay’s launchpad into politics and the actor is set to follow in steps of several luminaries who have made the switch from films to politics.

Sarkar, starring Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay, since the time it went on floors has created quite some buzz.

The AR Murugadoss film, which hit screens on November 6, on its opening day, received mixed response from movie buffs and critics.

Even then, the film has registered a record-breaking opening, and according to Tollywood reports, the film has collected Rs 75 crore at the worldwide box office on its very first day of release.

Sarkar, released in over 3000 screens around the world, has earned a gross collection of approximately $145,000 just from the premiere shows in the US and the number, after the first day is expected to only go up.

Thalapathy Vijay’s act as a political vigilante in Sarkar is garnering great response from fans, followers and film lovers in general.

The plot of the film revolves around a successful NRI CEO who returns to India for voting in elections but finds his vote has already been exercised.

He then enters politics and says that he will bring about a change in the society in one day.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and wrote, “The hugely awaited #Tamil biggie #Sarkar, which opened today, has got fantastic showcasing outside Tamil Nadu as well… In Mumbai, for instance, the plexes have allotted 8, 9, even 11 and 12 shows every day, which is a rarity… The hype is truly tremendous… #SarkarDiwali.”
