My gift:
A Tag Heuer watch
The thought behind it: I want to give my sister Rashmi something long-lasting. Last year, I had given her jewellery.
The event: My sister stays in Delhi and so I won’t be able to meet her today. She has already sent the rakhi, which I guess my dad will tie it on my wrist as my mom is also in Delhi!

Rithvik Dhanjani
My gift:
Will take my sister Heena on a shopping spree.
The thought: It’s very difficult to shop for girls and they love it when you take them for shopping. I will let my sis buy whatever she wants.
The event: Rakhi has always been a special festival at home.

Karanvir Bohra
My gift:
The opening of a Tim Hortons café in partnership.
The thought: My sister Meenakshi stays in Canada. Tim Hortons is a popular food chain there.
The event: I just got back from Canada. She has already tied the rakhi.

Karan Patel
My gift:
I will be sending my sister Dhara cash because I am bad at choosing gifts.
The thought: The easiest thing to do is give cash as she gets to buy whatever she wants. At least, I know she will be happy with her purchases.
The event: Dhara is travelling this year, so I won’t be able to meet her today. But I am hoping to see her soon, once she is back. I am looking forward to a family meal and some shopping.

Gaurav Chopraa
My gift:
I always give my sister Geetanjali a surprise. This time, I’ll be gifting her a high-end cell phone, the one she has been eyeing for some time.
The thought behind the gift: I heard last week that her young son has broken the screen of her cell phone. I convinced her to get it repaired and use it because I didn’t want her to buy a new one. The event: My family and sister are in Delhi and usually my going there is also a surprise to them. But this year, I won’t be able to go as I will be shooting. She has sent a rakhi for me. I always get it on the day of Raksha Bandhan or the night before. I wonder how she manages that!

Ssharad Malhotra
My gift:
I’ll buy my sister Rewa the latest laptop.
The thought: She’s a designer, hence the gift. As a kid, I used to buy her gifts with my pocket money, but now it is from my earnings.
The event: I am going to my hometown Kolkata for Raksha Bandhan — it will be a surprise for the family. I am sure I will have lots of fun and gorge on delicious food. This time all my cousins from across India are coming together and I will be celebrating Rakhi with my sister after nine years.
