Tabu's 'Human Bomb' Connection

Tabu's career seems strangely chained to the human-bomb. In Gulzar's final directorial venture Hu-tu-tu the powerful actress had played a human bomb . Now in Haider which is directed by Gulzar Saab's protégé Vishal Bhardwaj Tabu returns as a human bomb.

That isn't all. Many years ago in Santosh Sivan's Terrorist in 1997 Tabu was to play the human bomb on a suicide mission to kill the Indian Prime Minister. However, Tabu being Tabu (meaning unpredictable in her selection of roles) opted out at the last minute. The role finally went to Ayesha Dharker.

But with two roles as suicide bombers to her credit Tabu holds a record of sorts in the genre of terror cinema.
