Swedish House Mafia to perform in Mumbai

Electronic dance music trio Swedish House Mafia are back in the country and will finally perform here on Tuesday after their much awaited gig was cancelled in November last year due to Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray's death.

The band, which was officially formed in late 2008, comprises of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso have returned for their 'One Last Tour' and will also perform in Bangalore on January 20.

"Sunburn Arena, keeping its promise, is bringing the masters of music Swedish House mafia back to India with an additional performance in Bangalore city," the organiser Sunburn Arena said in a statement. The music trio were to perform here on November 17. However, with Thackeray's death on the same day, the performance was cancelled as a mark of respect to the leader.

Swedish House Mafia performed in New Delhi on November 18 as per schedule. The supergroup has been placed at Number 12 on the DJ Magazine Top 100 rankings for 2012 and have been called the faces of mainstream progressive house music.
