Sushant Singh Rajput to marry girlfriend Ankita Lokhande sometime this year or next year

Even before he had made his Bollywood debut, Sushant Singh Rajput had made his relationship status clear to the world. He's been acting for eight years, dating girlfriend Ankita Lokhande for seven years and amidst speculation of his supposed marriage, has insisted that he isn't married to her yet.

However at a time when a lot of actors often regret their decision of going public with their private lives, the young actor stands his ground. "I don't regret any of the decisions I ever made. I have always been very honest about my relationship because I know people want to know about it. And I think people have the right to know about it, so I have been extremely honest. I will definitely get married, probably in the next few months or maybe next year. And when that happens everybody will get to know about it", he says.

Actors hate having their personal lives under constant public scrutiny but Sushant seems unperturbed by all this and so avoid talking about their relationships. In his opinion, "it buys you a lot of speculative stories. So you will get stories like 'Oh, look at them watching a movie together or 'May be they are not dating', so they get attention and get mileage out of stories like that."

He continues, "Also, people think that when you are committed, your fan following reduces. I don't think it is true at all. I don't think being in a relationship or having five wives or three girlfriends makes any difference to the audience. If you can convince them to believe that the role you are playing is worth their money, they will walk into the theatre.'
