All roads led to Sathyam Cinemas on Monday morning for the audio launch of Suriya's film 24. This movie, directed by Vikram Kumar, is a highly anticipated one and music maestro AR Rahman has done the score for the film. At the audio launch, the Oscar winner and his group of talented singers and musicians performed live for the invitees.

Suriya's father, renowned yesteryear actor Sivakumar, and his brother, actor Karthi were also present at the audio launch with a host of other celebrities. Sivakumar who spoke at the audio launch said that late director K Balachander had bestowed on him the title 'Silent Sakalakala Vallavan' but that the title suited Suriya better than him. He added that his astrologer had told him that his son would become a great actor and have a love marriage. "I didn't believe in both, but my son has been successful and reached great heights," stated Sivakumar.

Suriya's brother Karthi launched the trailer of 24 and then Suriya got on stage to speak at the event. The Kollywood star said, "After director Vikram Kumar narrated the script to me, I stood up and clapped. If a movie is good, please make it a box office success, if is a movie is not good - even if it is my film - don't make it a success."

The movie stars Samantha and Nithya Menen. Interestingly, Nithya Menen has sung in the film in the Telugu version of the film and she took to the stage to sing 'Aaraaro'. She thanked Rahman for giving her an opportunity to sing in the film.
