Sunny Leone's 'Ek Paheli Leela' has a strong opening weekend at the box office

Sunny Leone seems to be a better box office bet today. With films high on content like Anushka Sharma's NH10 and Sushant Singh Rajput's Detective Byomkesh Bakshy managing around Rs 3-4 crore on its opening day, Sunny Leone's Ek Paheli Leela has been raking in good moolah, despite being panned by critics.

Ek Paheli Leela earned consistently in the range of Rs 5.3 crore on its opening day and Saturday. The film collected about Rs 5.35 crore at the box office. With that, the total collections of the film has shot up to Rs 15.85 crore. 

The makers must be really happy because the film, made at a budget of Rs 15 crore has already recovered its investment and what now needs to be seen is whether the film crosses the hit mark at the box office. As of now, it remains to be seen if Leela passes the acid test on Monday and whether the film can hold its momentum in the weekdays.
