Suniel Shetty's father passes away at the age of 93

Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty's father Veerappa Shetty passed away on Wednesday morning around 1:30 am. Reportedly, he was admitted to the Breach Candy hospital.

As per reports that are doing the rounds, Veerappa Shetty was not well for quite a while. His funeral will take place on Thursday.

Suniel Shetty had earlier shared with HT in a 2013 interview that he considers his father as his real hero, at the launch of his showroom in a Worli building. He had then revealed, "This is where my father, Veerappa Shetty, used to work. He used to clean plates here since he worked as a waiting boy at a restaurant. My father is my real hero. He started working at the age of nine. He used to sleep on flattened mustard sacks and used a rolled-up gunny bag as a pillow.”
