The sufi sensation, Kailash Kher made an appearance on the first episode of The Ride, a show aired on MTV Indies. The popular singer was seen interacting with famous Indie personality Rishu Singh about his journey to the top.

About the show

The show is the perfect way to let everyone know about the hardships that we face. Even if some of us have godfathers who help us get our first break, failures are not an unknown concept to us, says Kailash. This show gives these failures also a platform. It also in a sense, brings to the viewer a different image of us in addition to music.

Kailash says that even after achieving every thing he has, there are smaller joys in life that he cherishes the most. Joys like having chai at small tapris, or just wandering around the streets. He quite honestly says that there are times when he gets quite irritated by all the buzz around him and does not want to sign autographs or click pictures with his fans.

It's important to keep calm and deal with the irritation because the one thing he believes that is more difficult than earning fame is maintaining it. Failures, too, are necessary to emerge out better and bigger from every one of them.

About music

We asked Kailash what his favourite music was and he quipped, "Aise kaise ek favorite batau? My favorite song changes with every mood and with every day." So while in the monsoons, In dino might be his favourite, a not so good monsoon morning might hint at another song.
