Suchitra Sen's medical condition stable

The medical condition of Suchitra Sen is stable on Sunday, doctors attending to her said.

Her blood pressure and pulse is normal and her physiotherapy is on, sources at Belle Vue Clinic, where she is admitted, said.

The 82-year-old legendary actress was admitted to the hospital on December 23 following a respiratory tract infection.

A five-member medical board at the super-specialty hospital led by Dr Subrata Maitra are monitoring her health round-the-clock.

Sen who has kept herself away from the public eye for the last three decades was the first Indian actress to win the best actress award internationally at the Moscow Film Festival.

She had starred in memorable Hindi and Bengali films like 'Devdas', 'Aandhi', 'Saat Paake Bandha', 'Agnipariksha', 'Saptopadi' and 'Deep Jele Jai'.
