Director Steven Spielberg has assured fans that the lead character Indiana Jones won't come to a grisly end in the upcoming fifth part of the hit franchise.

The next instalment has a temporary title of Indiana Jones 5, reported Female First. Harrison Ford, 73, will reprise his role as the archaeologist in the next film. The Indiana Jones is an American entertainment franchise, based on the adventures of Dr Henry Indiana Jones, a fictional archaeologist.

"I think this (next Indiana Jones movie) is straight down the pike for the fan, the one thing I will tell you is I'm not killing off Harrison at the end of it," Spielberg said.

So, there exists a Venn diagram where fans of Han Solo and Indy overlap. Both the roles are (or were, in case of Han Solo) played by Harrison Ford. Therefore, a million hearts broke when Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) pushed Han Solo down the pit in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

And because of this, when Spielberg announced bringing the fifth movie in the iconic series of Indiana Jones, fans feared that given Ford's age, his Indy too will meet the same fate as Han Solo.

Phew. That's out of the question then!
