The most anticipated movie of 2015 Star Wars: The Force awakens will break boundaries reportedly by featuring its first female stormtrooper. Rising star Amybeth Hargreaves has been cast as one of the imperial soldiers in the Disney remake, the Daily Express reported.

The relatively unknown English actress doesn't have many film credits under her belt, except for a stint in the 2012 project The Martyrs. In the first chapters of the Star Wars franchise, the stormtroopers, clad in all-white body armour, were feared as the army of the evil Empire.

Despite the speculation, it has not yet been confirmed whether Hargreaves has indeed been drafted in to play a stormtrooper, or whether she will instead be a stunt double for cast member Gwendoline Christie.
